Gertie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Gertie is a happy little brown dog. Once she gets to know you and settles into your home she is an absolute love bug. She will gladly lay on your lap or is satisified with a long belly rub. She gets along great with other dogs and lives with anywhere from 5-8 dogs at her foster home.
Gertie gave birth to a small litter of two puppies in the spring and is now ready to have a forever home herself.
She is a bit fearful of new people so we are teaching her that everyone is good and no one will ever hurt her. She is getting better with each introduction to new people. She absolutely loves children once she knows them. She should not be in a family with children under 8 as they may scare her with their toddler energy.
