Carlie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sweet and shy, Carlie is looking hard for a family who will love her as much as she would like to love them back. She has nice, sturdy legs, but they are only a few inches long, giving her a double time trot when she goes for a walk. Makes us smile every time. Her long and stocky body can really wiggle when she is very happy, or doing the doggy stretch and shake. Carlie is on the smaller side of medium at only 38 lbs., so she fits well into nearly any situation. She does like playing outdoors, but she also enjoys curling up in a quiet space indoors. She loves a nice, soft dog bed. If you are looking for a dog who will enjoy a quieter home, but will still like to go out for walks and some backyard play, Carlie is your girl. If you are a patient type of person, and will give her time to learn she is safe with you, you will be rewarded with a very loving little girl.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: Carlie is the sweetest.  I call her girlfriend although she does know her name.  She's completely house broken.  And a joy to be around.   She's a cuddler and great company.   She plays well with other dogs on our walks after a little walking together first.  She saw a cat in the window and barked and growled so not certain about cats.   She has a really even temperament.   She is still very afraid when I go to put the lead on her.  Acts like she was possibly smacked with a leash. Someone that wants great company lots of love and a reason to walk a couple of times a day will just adore her.  She just wants to be with you and doesn't  care what you do.  Carlie should go to a home with older, considerate children only.
