All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sparky is just adorable and all puppy. He was born in our rescue on November 19, 2017.
He loves people, children and other dogs. He plays and then he crashes for his nap. Just your typical puppy, well not exactly!!!

Sparky was born with some health issues which he has seen a neurologist and a cardiologist for consultations.
Sparky had a grade 3 heart murmur when his echocardiogram was done on 2/6/18 and it showed a tiny hole in his heart between the left and right ventricle.  He had an echocardiogram on 7/25/18 and the tiny hole and not changed and his heart looks fine for a growing puppy. They would like to see him be rechecked in 1 year after he is fully grown but the Cardiologist expects him to live a long and happy life.
Sparky also saw the neurologist because he seemed to have some balance issues and some sight impairment. He has been diagnosed with cerebellum disorder, which means that that part of his brain did not completely develop. It caused his motor skills to be a bit off and his sight is not good in the right eye but he sees fairly well from his left eye.

The great news is that Sparky is strong and smart and has worked hard to overcome anything called a disability, he runs and plays with the other dogs, he goes up and down steps just like the other dogs. Sparky is completely house trained and is doing great walking on a leash. When he hears the leash come out he is ready to go!!! He loves car rides and those perky ears just make you want to hug him.

Sparky is not on any medications and neither doctor felt that he would need anything in the future for either condition.

He is quite cuddly and loves to sleep in bed and keep you warm.

Sparky is a testament that no matter what comes along he has been able to overcome it to live life to the fullest.
He is just a great all around puppy at almost 8 months and wants to be in his forever home so he can show everyone just how wonderful he is!!!

Since Sparky does have some slight disabilities he should be in a home with another dog that can continue to mentor him and also he should have a fenced yard to run and play.
