Dexter is a very small dog with really big ideas. He thinks he should be king of the world, but he is a king without a country, as he was found dumped and trying his mighty best to fend for himself. Dex loves to sit in laps, but only when his majesty chooses to sit in your lap. Now, he DOES choose to honor your lap a lot and he does it in such a sweet way. He will trot up to you, gently stand up and place his paws carefully against your leg and look into your eyes. That means "You may lift me up now." He has been playing well with other dogs and cats, but doesn't seem to have been around children, so we would like him to go to a home without them so he will be comfortable. Great news! He is already house trained, crate trained, and he's even been microchipped for you, so his highness can't get lost ever again. His foster says "He is a calm quiet older guy that likes to have things his way." If you would like to join Dexter's kingdom and give him the life he would enjoy becoming accustomed to, step right up and fill out an application.
