All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sit tight. Hold your breath. (Spoiler, It's going to come out all right). Rissa had been there for some days and nobody claimed her. A happy , friendly dog, whenever the workers came to feed her, or even just walked by her cage, she wagged her tail and looked hopeful. And then came the day that they opened her door and had a leash in their hands. Rissa did a happy dance , tail wagging wildly with joy, just like she always does. But this time, it was for a walk to that room where nobody comes out alive. Rissa was walking to the end of her life. Sweet Rissa...she didn't know. As she went down the hallway, licking the walkers hand, still wagging, a call was received. The walkers hand was on the door. Rissa had only a few minutes to live. The call was from a rescue saying "yes" to Rissa. The worker who took the call raced down the hall. "This one lives!" And just like that, this wonderful family dog was walked back to her cage to await her saviors, coming to get her and give her life. Risa is young, happy, full of fun, and then there is that tail. It wags all the time. Rissa loves people. It's as simple as that. She may make the best family dog you have ever had. Not a fan of cats, but she has love in her heart for every other creature, Rissa is the kind of dog who wants to please her people more than anything. A "Good girl!" will go a long way when you start to show her how to be your perfect dog. A great size, at only 45 lbs., she is already vetted, with all her shots. She is ready to go!
