All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Mattie is a loving, sturdy dog, well built, absolutely stunningly beautiful, and ready for walks. She is the kind of dog who, when she chooses you, will love you with her entire heart all of her life. She doees not like to share that love, however, so she would like to be an only dog. Her background is truly horrendous, having been badly burned at some point. We don't know if she was in a house fire, tortured, or even accidently burned, but it is a reality for her and she carries the scars today to show a glimpse of her past. We want her future to be beautiful and hope it will make up for the bad times. Her foster has a message just for you..."Mattie is a beautiful brindled girl with a sweet and a bit goofy personality. She’s impeccably house trained, knows basic commands and is comfortable in her crate. She’s currently learning to walk with a leash and is doing well. Mattie was badly burned ) and has scars and bald patches along her back which need a daily application of sunscreen. Perhaps due to this trauma she is often anxious and seeks reassurance and comforting. She is very sensitive to loud noises. Mattie loves a good belly rubs and snuggling up against you at night. With patience and understanding of her sensitive nature you will have a loving, loyal companion in Mattie."Weight is 55pds, a perfect, medum size, Spayed. Up to date on all shots and recently received a clean bill of health. Perhps you will be the one to show her the gentleness and good that there can be in life. She is still young and should have so many years to enjoy her family.
