Max is a beautiful older soul. He has seen life and worked a lifetime to be truly good dog. He understands love and will give it back to you in large measure. He has lived a good life, always cared for, and this would have continued except that his person passed away and he suddenly became unwanted. He is a perfect companion and dearly loves being with people. He especially enjoys going for nice walks. You will never have to worry about him pulling on the leash and will be rewarded on each walk by his swishing happy tail and the joy just radiating from his body. Being with Max is a recipe for smiles. Many people have remarked how just being around Max is such a peaceful feeling. He could be a poster boy on everything good about a senior dog. His foster says of him "Max is a lovable little guy with a very sweet disposition. He is a laid back boy who enjoys sitting in your lap just taking it easy.  Max does enjoy going outside and he walks great on a leash.  He is also already house trained."
