Boo may be a senior, but acts more like a much younger dog. He is a happy, loving boy. His previous owner had some bad things happen in her life and can no longer care for him. He has always been well loved, and shows it. We really can't improve on what she wants you to know about him.
"He loves to be around you, no matter what you are doing or where. He is already microchipped, so all you have to do is change the registration to your own name. He has always walked on a harness. Never liked collars. I call him Buzz Buzz often as an affectionate name. He really does not like cats. Our favorite thing to do is play fetch together and hide and seek. He likes to use his front paw to "talk" to you like to tell you he needs to go outside. And speaking of talking, if you ask him if he wants a "cookie" he will shake his head "YES". He considers the best place in the world the place where you sleep and likes to be right next to you in bed. He has never liked a crate. Good news, he is well house broken. Boo gets scared in thurnderstorms, but if you hold him and tell him it's alright, he will be fine. He is used to being groomed and while he is nervous about going, he will settle right down. Mostly he loves to love and be loved. He believes everyone in the world is his friend. When you are happy, he is happy. When you are sad, he is sad, and he will stay with you to comfort you. He really loves watching TV, and any animal on the screen gets his attention. Hello Animal Planet! I have always left food out for him and he eats what he needs. He is not greedy. So easy! He takes his meds easily with peanut butter. I put a little on his lips and he licks them and swallows. Down goes the pill. He is extra smart and a good visual learner."
If you are looking for a grand little dog and a dog that knows how to love , Boo is your guy.
SPECIAL NOTE: Boo hurt his back November 2019 most likely jumping off of furniture and takes Gabapentin each day which is $20 a month. His back injury however does not slow him down. He should not do steps or jump on or off furniture although he will and can do it but we don't want to aggravate his injury in letting him do so. (We do have the vet records from his back injury) Only older children and I'd say calmer dogs in the home so that there is no active play although he doesn't seem to even want to play with other dogs just wants to be with his human.
Because of his back condition he needs a home with no steps and no children. He should only be with another dog that is very calm. A fenced yard would be best for Boo so a harness does not bother his back.
