All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Bandit is a sweetheart!  He is a very happy guy who loves to be around people. He will follow you wherever you go and snuggle up next to you on the couch. He thinks he is a lap dog and doesn’t realize that he is overweight.  He is now on a diet! He is a good listener and comes when you call his name. He knows sit and give me a paw on command. He doesn’t beg for food but I’m sure he would love any little bit of food he can get. 

Bandit LOVES to go for long walks. He is strong but doesn’t seem to want to pull on the leash. He also loves to go for car rides. He will jump right in the car and not want to get out. 

Bandit needs to lose at least 15lbs (per vet). I have him on a “healthy weight”diet along with several walks a day. 

I can’t say if he is good with cats or not since I don’t have one.

I don’t consider Bandit a flight risk who would take off running but he does like to wander and smell his surroundings. I think he might be part hound since his nose is always in the ground smelling. I don’t think a fenced yard needs to be a requirement for him, just a responsible person who will keep an eye on him. I don’t let him off the leash but he seems to want stay by my side at all times. At 8.5 years old he still has some energy but not a high energy dog. He is the perfect dog if you ask me ❤️ After a couple of hours of being outside or going on walks, it’s nap time.  
If you are looking for a super great older guy to be your best friend, Bandit would like to apply!
UPDATE: . He is house trained, loves to snuggle and loves outside. He is a bit over-weight so an ongoing diet and some exercise is needed. A fenced yard would be nice but not required, he loves to go for long walks. He has been around children of various ages
