All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Raya is a total sweetheart, a “ray a’ sunshine” and a ball of energy! We like to say she’s here to be the life of the party. She will run around all day and will settle contentedly on the couch in the evening.  Her obedience instructor called her ‘emotionally intuitive’ when it came to interacting with other dogs large and small—and she loves her canine friends! Raya would be thrilled to have a family with other dogs to play and snuggle with.

Raya is crate and house trained. She has graduated basic obedience training, and has expanded her skills and tricks at home. She has lived in a home with two cats and would do well in a house with cats who are already socialized around dogs. She loves to chew, which isn’t a problem as long as she has appropriate toys. She loves finding the best stick on her walks to carry proudly all the way back home! She could use more training in the car and on the leash, but once she masters those skills she will be an amazing companion on camping and hiking trips! She is a nose hound, and would love more opportunities to explore and sniff the wide world.

Raya will be best suited for a household with a lot of space to run and play. Her ideal family would be an active, outdoorsy one that matches her energy and hopefully with other doggy siblings!
