All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

The sweetest bonded pair looking for a retirement home full of love, treats and a fenced yard to play.

Meet Robbie and Darcy, a bonded pair. Robbie was adopted by his owner when he was a young lad, about a year old. Darcy followed by being adopted about 3 years later and the two have been inseparable ever since. The pups have been in foster care since January 1, 2022 hoping that their own would get well enough to take them home but that dream is not going to happen for these two pups. Robbie is a 13-year old golden retriever and Darcy is a 9-year old mix of possibly corgi and sheepdog. These two dogs both have amazing personalities and once they get to know you will give lots of love back. Both are a bit shy when they first meet new people and will bark but once they get to know you they are wonderful.

 The perfect home would be a quiet, low traffic home for them to settle in and be comfortable.They are currently living with four other dogs in the foster home, both their size and smaller. They were fine coming into the foster home and meeting the resident dogs. Darcy takes a few introductions when meeting new dogs that have not been in the home and then seems fine. Darcy does not like dogs that get in her face too quickly.  They love the outdoors and need a fenced yard to play. They especially like snow, Robbie rolls around and has a great time. Darcy loves her toys and will make sure they are chewed completely and no squeakers left to make noise.

 Both dogs are in good health, no medications other than Robbie gets a joint supplement and they both get a vitamin each day.

 If you are looking for two seniors to enjoy, this may be the pair for you. They are both house trained, are not destructive and sleep on their own beds next to our bed each night. They are fine when we leave, they were a bit anxious for about two weeks but that quickly went away. They are up to date on vaccines and Robbie was recently groomed. They have been vetted their entire lives at Shenandoah Vet Hospital, Martinsburg, WV. Records are available since the owner had them.
