Learn more about the Lhasa Apso.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

When you think of little Millie, think of "companion dog", because that is what she was born to do. As a Lhasa Apso, her genes tell her to give love, to snuggle, to sit on a lap, or press up against you to show she will never leave you and will watch over you. She is not a dog who likes chaos around her , so a busy, noisy house with children would not be her best choice. She will be friendly and happy with "her" people. That said, she was raised with many other dogs and seems to be fine with other dogs. Her foster says "She greets me with joy when I come back home and will snuggle in my arms, pressing her tiny body into mine and telling with with all of her how glad she is to see me." You can have this, too, as she sees most adult humans as objects of adoration. Centuries of breeding have produced a small dog built for love. Millie does seem to be house trained and is just discovering toys for the first time in her life. She is a young dog, at only about a year and a half old, so she should be by your side for a long time to come. Her foster has been calling her "a little white bear". She comes with her shots and a good vet check. Millie proves that it is not true that you can't purchase love. She is ready to give you her heart for a biscuit. Pretty good deal for you!
SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU: Her coat feels like the finest silk, so soft, but she has been shaved for the summer. Her normal coast is longer and even softer.
