All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Princess is a four year old female tan/white shih tzu who is 100 percent gentle and sweet.  She is very calm and mellow.  Princess is great on a leash, in the car, and with grooming/bathing.  She loves other dogs and would love a canine brother or sister who is good to her.  She is fine with cats and people of all ages.  Princess has a wonderful disposition!  She was rescued from an Amish puppy mill earlier this year, and is learning a new way of life as a pet who does not live in a cage.  Princess attaches like glue to her primary caregiver, but can be shy with others in the home, so a home with fewer rather than more people would suit her best.  Given her past, people have to earn her love and trust, and she is a very loving and sweet-natured young girl.  Her tail wags all the time.  She is spayed and up-to-date on routine vaccinations.

Another dog in the home is something she seems to love, and helps her adjust and cope so we will require that for Princess' benefit. She is fine with cats, ignoring them. She is really great on a leash, and housebroken without accident.
