Andrei needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

If there was a theme song for Andrei, it would be "Easy Like Sunday Mornin". He is just such an easy dog to be around, and has fit seamlessly into our little family. Andrei and our dog, Baxter, were fast friends, with no issues whatsoever. After feeling each other out for a few minutes, they immediately fell into a friendship, and within an hour were eating dinner side by side. Andrei has had no food issues at all, and is a gentleman about accepting treats. Any move towards a trash can, even just to show curiosity, has been very quickly and easily corrected. He just seems so grateful to have a good meal, and gobbles it down with vigor. He is also very generous with his affection, and loves to give kisses and nuzzles. One of the most impressive things about him is that he is so incredibly smart! We have only had to show him once how to navigate our difficult stairway, and after the first hesitant trip, he now runs up and down them like an old pro! Also, we have been working on basic obedience commands, and he learned sit in less than an hour. I'm sure because of his age, he had to have been taught the command at some point, but just needed some refreshing. Today, after less than 48 hours, he sits on command with no issues. Lastly, one of the many things that make him such a character is that he wags his tail in circles, as if he has a propeller back there! Such a funny sight to see, and we are truly enjoying his company.
Andrei is as close to the ideal dog as it is possible to be. At only two years old, he already has a calm, settled temperament. He is very at home in the house with his family, yet his caregiver says he is also great in crowds of people. You will be able to take him absolutely anywhere, from the kids soccer games, to outings at the park, or walks through downtown. He will be glad to greet everyone he meets. Walks in the woods? He's up for it. Strolls down Main Street..."great, let's go!" He likes children, adults, senior citizens, any other dogs, even cats. He is a perfect size, too, not too big, not too small, rather like that Three Bears story...just right! His soft coat with gorgeous feathering is heavenly to stroke. Andrei is dog who will walk into your life with no fuss and you will feel like he has lived there forever. Current on his shots, neutered and vetted, he is a beautiful, sweet guy looking for love.
