All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Brooklyn was originally owned by a young person who decided to go into the Navy, so Brooklyn was in need of a home... Since then he has learned "leave it", "sit", "down" and is housebroken. He also knows how to open doors and will need a fenced yard. He is one smart dog. He loves to play ball and will easily crate. He does pull on the leash and does need a formal obedience class. He rides well in the car and is good with other dogs and very playful... good with kids but pretty active for really young children. He is a bit too curious about cats so we prefer no cats in his home. He has good German lines and is quite beautiful. Since his rescue, he has learned to be an inside dog and we will require that he be placed ONLY as an inside dog and family member.

PERSONAL NOTE FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS SPENT TIME WITH BROOKLYN:

He loves to play. He really likes children, but suggest older ones, like 7 or above, not because he doesn't like little ones but because he is so large and strong. He is a very big boy!  Very sweet too!
