All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Teddy is one of those amazing dogs that come along sometimes only once in a lifetime. His foster dad describes him this way..."Sweet as sugar on ice cream." This wonderful dog has the temperament that has made Golden Retrievers known all over the world as being perfect family dogs. Friendly, happy, outgoing, and loving their families with every beat of their hearts, their joyous spirits are nearly legendary. Teddy exempifies it all. He has even added one more "golden" moment to his resume...he's fine with cats. It goes without saying that he gets along well with other dogs. His coat is silky soft, so petting him is heavenly. And that color! Like fresh cream in the pitcher, he draws the eyes of all wherever he goes. We know he is a guy, but we have to say it. Teddy is just plain beautiful...inside and out.

FROM FOSTER:

He is a sweetheart! He's very loving, very loyal, and wants nothing more than to be by my side, or play with our other dogs. We have 2 Jack Russells and 1 large standard poodle puppy (7 months old) in our house, and Teddy, who is under 1 year old. He LOVES to play with our poodle girl, and does so very gently. He hangs on my every word, my every touch, my every glance. He just wants to be loved, and wants to be a good boy...and he is!

He is a happy dog. He loves to give hugs, and always asks beforehand. He'll approach me in the chair, put his head on my leg, and then I give him the ok to put his paws up in my lap. I have nothing bad to say about this dog. He did nicely for the groomer, travels easily in my vehicle, is not bothered by our 2 cats at all. He loves kids, plays well with other dogs, and has beautiful white, gleaming teeth!! He smiles when his head is petted.

The family that gets this dog is going to be lucky. Please know that Teddy will not be an outside dog. Ideally, his family would have a fenced-in yard for him to run, and he would be true member of the family...laying by someone's feet in the evening, romping with some kids, and then resting in his own, comfortable bed. He's a Prince, and should be treated like one.

NOTE: Teddy will do best in a home with a fenced yard.
