Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

This very young, AKC registered German shepherd boy is a big, beautiful example of what a great long haired shepherd should look like. He needs the reassurance of his person in a new setting, but once he knows he can count on you, he is good to go. He is learning to walk well on a leash and already housebroken for you. He wants so much to belong to a person, or family and is ready to give that famous German shepherd loyalty away to someone who will love him back. He is a large, big boned dog, who moves gracefully. He is very friendly with other dogs and good with people and kids. Since he is a larger shepherd, we are hoping that his new owner will be a shepherd savvy person, who will know and appreciate his breed traits.

NOTE FROM HIS FOSTER: He is just fantastic with kids! Does not like cats much, though.
