Login to Remember your Favorite Animals and Breeds! |
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Gus | |
|
There simply is no love like old love, tried and tested by time and the sweetest of all. Gus is a senior and he knows all about being a good dog. He knows more, too. He understands how to look into your eyes and tell you his heart is entirely yours. Sight restricted, because he is blind in one eye, he knows how to connect on deeper levels with his human. This wonderful, mellow boy would love to take calm walks with you, lie in the sun near you, and watch the chipmunks instead of chase them. So easy to love back, he would be the perfect dog for someone who likes older dogs and all the warm feelings that come with life tempered with lots of living.
A SPECIAL NOTE FROM HIS FOSTER: found out today that little boy LOVES to swim! Took all of the "kids" to doggy swim day at my old neighbor hood pool and he had a blast! I was so proud of him...little legs did great. He was a hit with everyone there with his sweet personality!
We have developed a special page devoted to dogs with vision loss. This information was written by one of our volunteers, with input from several other volunteers, who all have had years of experience with blind dogs. The rewards from a blind dog can be incredible. Please take a look at:
