All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Ralph has had a hard and unloved life, but he has never given up hope of someday finding someone who will appreciate the gentle and kind dog that he has remained every day, no matter what terrible things that day might bring. This very sweet, loving dog, is a senior, but he still has years of love to give and an overwhelming desire to love a family or person he can call his own. He is so grateful for even the smallest attention from a human and he wags his tail with joy whenever he sees someone approaching. You can just see the hope in his eyes. He wants to be the very best dog he has it in himself to be. He is already house trained, and he would give anything in the world to go on walks with you, have a soft place to lie down, food in his bowl, and, most of all, a gentle hand to pet him. Your reward will be complete devotion. Not such a bad deal in this busy world. Ralph waits and waits, perhaps for you.

SPECIAL NOTE: Ralph is very much bonded to another dog on our site, Linda. When he is sad or frightened, she comforts him. To see such true love is very special. In a perfect world, we would love to see them adopted together. In a not so perfect world, we will, of course, adopt them separately.

ALSO from his caregiver: I want to tell you that Linda loves to play fetch. Ralph will trot along with her and when she brings the ball back... he comes back with her, to you, as if “he has retrieved it”... Way too cute!

P.S. We just discovered that Ralph is fine with cats, too!
