Blaze needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Blaze is currently in the famous cell dog program where he is getting some structured training in manners. He will be ready to go to a home mid-late February.
This very handsome boy is young, sturdy and oh so friendly. Not a surprise... he has some yellow lab in the mix, so it's built into his genes. Labs are now the most popular family dog, as noted by the AKC, for 20 years running. Blaze is no exception. He is ready to play in your yard with boundless joy and energy, go for walks, greeting all the neighbors and his new doggy friends, and if you have children, he is a ready made playmate. He loves children! If you are wanting an outgoing, happy, easy guy, Blaze is here to tell you he's applying for the job.
Special note from his foster: Blaze is a wonderful dog! Still very much a puppy at 11 months old, he LOVES to play. We think he is a yellow lab mix with that gorgeous, thick soft fur! He is truly a doll--follows you everywhere, comes as soon as he is called, always trying to please. He will snuggle with you any time of day and loves attention. He is crate trained and seems to enjoy having a special place of his own. He voluntarily takes naps in his crate and often takes toys in there to play. Since he has been with us, he has learned "sit," "down," and "paw." He is a smart boy, ready to learn whatever you want to teach him. He is housetrained and does very well with other dogs who love to play too.
