Learn more about the Cocker Spaniel.
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Holly is such a happy little girl! She is up for anything as long it involves you. Her manners have come a long way-- she now sits to greet instead of jumping and doesn't try to get on furniture anymore. She is content to lay on her doggie bed. Holly loves to play with soft toys which she throws in the air and runs around with. She also enjoys chewing on bones. She has not had one accident in the house, goes in her crate nicely, and has never chewed on anything other than dog toys. She has some shy moments but is easily brought back out of her shell with some petting and happy words. She has nice leash manners and we are working on heeling. She really is a joy to have around the house. She loves to play and lay down with my lab Toby. She would do well with other dogs and doesn't bother cats. I think she would also do well with calm children
Holly is full of love and LOVES to have her little belly rubbed. She is an explorer and adores to go for walks. Holly gets along well with my lab Toby, They play well together and she lets him know when she has had enough. She plays a little with a ball but hasn't learned to bring it back yet. She has never once had an accident in the house and usually only goes potty in the morning and evening even though she has plenty of opportunity to go during the day. (I think she was crate trained at one point in her life). She will go in the crate and settles down but doesn't seem thrilled about it. She much prefers to lay quietly on the dog bed beside me. She gets up when I get up to see what I am doing and what's going on. She likes to be able to see someone at all times. If Toby is with her she isn't as anxious if a person isn't in the room. She really is a lovable sweet little girl!
On a side note, she does like to dig if she finds a scent she is particularly interested in. She unearthed some mice in our hay barn yesterday.
Holly is one of those sweet, gentle, loving dogs that you think about when you decide you would like to have a dog. She truly loves everyone and is eager to learn to be the best girl she can for you. She already has a good start, as she is house trained. In our book, one of the most important things to learn! A young adult, she recently had puppies and all but one have found homes. This one is Hobby, listed on our site also. He is blind, not "perfect", like the rest of the puppies, so we are looking for a very special home for him. We promise to take very good care of him until that home is found. Mama dog, our Holly, is ready now to go to her own home, where she will be cherished and loved for her tremendous personality. If you have been hoping to find true love in your next dog, meet Holly. You will know the moment you touch her soft, wavy coat that she was meant to be yours. When she looks up at you with those soulful eyes, it will surely seal the deal. Dogs don't come much better than Holly.
