All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Derby is a little guy, despite looking larger in the photos!!  He's tiny enough to fit under your coat!  Derby's small, but he has a big heart!  He loves to be held, cuddle in your lap, and just hang out, being your best buddy!! 

He's learning the house training etiquette and will need some continued training on that.  He is going to be just the perfect family companion for a special family!  Check out what his foster Mom has to say...

Note from foster: 

 He is a very sweet boy. Very alert, smart, and loving. He knows what a leash is for and gets excited to go outside when I put it on him. He even sits while I hook it.  He loves his belly rubbed and will sit on your lap and let you rub for as long as you can do it. I think he's finally catching on about the rules in the house for pottying.  He will make someone an excellent companion!!!! He also likes to ride in the car.  He gives sweet little kisses!!!!

Derby will do best in a home with a fenced yard
