Megan needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Can you say fluffy, soft and so jet black that she shimmers in the sun? Sweet doesn't even begin to describe lovely lady Megan  who is young, healthy and intelligent. She could learn nearly anything you want to teach her. Petting her is heavenly, as you lose your hands in her deep fur, but playing with her is even more fun. This  girl loves to romp, and it's so much fun to see her heavy ears flying as she bounds through the grass. Full of life and fun, Megan is ready to be a family dog and she will be a real looker when you take her for walks. Megan is a graduate of the cell dog program so has learned many social skills, housebreaking, crate training besides basic obedience skills. She is no less than FANTASTIC!!!!  Initially Megan is very shy.

NOTE: Since Megan is still a little fearful of sudden movements and loud noises, she will do best in a home with no children under 8.

A special note to you from her foster: She comes to us easily   She goes out in the backyard (fenced) with the other dogs, no problems. She does not chase squirrels.  She is very snuggly.  She has shown no begging, food-stealing, or food/resource aggression.   Couldn't be more pleasant and agreeable.  Nice easy medium energy.  We adore her.

LATEST UPDATE: Megan is a sweet, gentle, beautiful girl who is just a pleasure to have around the house.  She is fearful of new things and new people, but give her a chance - she will warm up to anyone new within a few hours.   Once she feels comfortable with you, she is thrilled to lie at your feet and be loved by you.
In the house she is a calm submissive,  medium-energy presence, very very easy to have around.  She doesn't jump on people or furniture, She doesn't beg or steal food.   She romps nicely in the back yard with my two bigger dogs; she is submissive and allows them to call the shots.   She is crate-trained and is quiet in the crate, but outside the crate she is perfectly house-trained and is happiest to be part of the family.   rides in the car calmly and easily, no trouble at all, but she is a little nervous when getting into the car.
What a beautiful dog our Megan is, inside and out!  She is a sweet soul who wants to please, and so gorgeous that people stop us on walks to remark on her beauty.
She has very nice house manners.  She quietly asks to go outside when she needs to.  She sits to get her food or have her leash put on.  Even when excited and greeting us, she is gentle in her exuberance.  She will stay happily in her crate or out of it, and often I just leave the door open and let her choose.  She very rarely barks - pretty much only if my dogs get her going.  Megan is truly a gem.
