Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Poor Sam Cocker, he was badly neglected in his previous home and came to us literally starving and with matted coat. We have had him shaved, cleaned up, given him all his shots, and completely vetted, so he now is a healthy boy. We are feeding him the very best of groceries, so he can put on his much needed weight, too. In spite of neglect, Sam Cocker remains a sweet, shy, loving boy. He has just never had anywhere to put his heart. Since his people didn't care about or for him, he still has all of the love he has saved up to give away. He is waiting for you to whisper in his floppy ears that you will be the one to love him and will never let him be hungry again, for either food or affection. To help him along, we have even gotten him microchipped for you, so when you bend down to pet his silky coat and tell him the world is going to be alright now, he will be ready to go right home with you. In the prime of his life, Sam has many years of life and love to give to you. The more he trusts you, the more his naturally friendly temperament is going to come out and shine.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: His best friend is the cat..where he is in foster...he is housebroken uses a doggie door...and gets along with three female little dogs and it is a peaceful household...foster mom says he is a sweet boy. He is very laid back and easy going..This dog loves other female dogs cats all people ..he does not care for other male dogs..should not live with one...
