All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Candy Girl is a ready made house dog. Happy and fun, she is also crate trained, house trained, has good house manners, and even already knows her basic commands. Really smart, if there are more things you want her to learn, she is going to catch on to them quickly. She will be so happy to go on walks with you, and especially to play with you in the yard. If you are looking for a best friend and house dog, you have found her in Candy Girl. She will need some  work with walking on lead and re-enforce some basic obedience... but that's required anyway!

A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER:  Candy Girl is doing fantastic! She traveled extremely well on the way home and has settled into the house nicely. She has great manners and is a total love bug. She loves to be brushed and slept right next to the bed all night long. We went for a walk this morning and she did great. She didn't pull at all and had no reaction to cars, people or cats going by. She is very calm and sweet and will make some family out there very happy!  I think she is going to spoil me :)

More about Candy Girl

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: She needs surgery for a Cranial Cruciate Ligament injury (the equivalent of an human ACL tear), with an 8-week recovery period followed by surgery for her hips which are luxated out of the sockets. This will require FHO surgery which basically changes the structure of the hips into a structure more like shoulders . Total amount needed for both surgeries is $6400. We are trying to raise these monies now for Candy's needed surgery! If you want to help, please send donations to our paypal account or to our Post Office Box.
