Fanny needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

This beautiful girl has had a very hard start in life and was so mistreated that she requires a patient leader to guide her into learning about love.  ... . she so wants someone to follow and tell her what to do. She's a young beauty with lots of heart but you will need to earn it by working with her to overcome her fears and insecurities.  Fanny will quickly bond.. she wants to learn and wants to be that special friend to someone!!!
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER:  She is "almost" housebroken.  Definitely treat motivated - will wait at the deck door when opened and the release word (once she focuses on me) is "free."  She will sit stay for a short period of time and will go down when treat is offered.    She LOVES playing with my Bella who is about her size (they play pretty rough and love it.  She does take toys away from my very submissive dog, Nicki. She warms up rather quickly to females but it takes her longer for males.  You need to be very patient and not force the issue.  I would not consider her submissive.  My Bella is quite self-assured and is definitely the "leader" which Fanny respects.  I don't think she would do well with smaller dogs as she seems o be a bit pushy, but would enjoy the company of one her size that likes to run and play.  Fanny does fairly well on recall and will sit to put collar and leash on.  Fanny loves snuggling and seems to bond very quickly.  She follows me everywhere, even lays down in the bathroom when I'm in there.  She's learning "other room" when I'm in the kitchen.  She definitely needs someone who will give her lots of attention, love and proper training.  Whoever is lucky enough to get her, if they follow through, there will be great companionship, love and devotion from Fanny.
