All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Lyra is just a dream of a little dog. We think she looks like a tiny, miniature lab. For you to know about her, we talked to her foster. Here is what she had to say:
" Good with kids, good with cats, good with dogs. she grew up with 4 kids - the youngest was 2 when they got her - and LOTS of cats. She is great with my two dogs - was shy at first but now they are all good friends. Absolutely no aggression toward anything, even when food, bath, fear, crate, or anything else is involved. Very very docile.  She is a very gentle little girl. She likes to play with my dogs sometimes, but mostly she just wants to cuddle and give kisses. She knows sit. I've never had a chance to test out "come" because she is always right beside me - follows me wherever I go. She has not been housetrained. We're working on it though. She is crate-trained now since living with us. Lyra is an absolute doll and could enter beauty pageants with her silky shiny black fur and her beautiful face. She would be a great dog for a family with kids or other small dogs.
