All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

WOW! What a super dog. This little lady will make the PERFECT family dog; we all love her already. She's a great size- easily manageable but big enough to romp and play and be your workout partner. And she is a true love. On a walk she was friendly but mannerly to every person and dog we encountered. In the yard she romped happily with my dogs, but when the neighbor kids came over she was so thrilled she just wanted to be with them, giving kisses but never jumping or being rough. In the house she has nice manners; she is housebroken, calm in a crate, doesn't jump, and shows no food or toy guarding or aggression. And she's gorgeous- sleek and just bursting with good health, a shiny coat, and clear happy eyes. If you're looking for a sweet, friendly, easy family dog with a lifetime of love to give, Darla's your dog.
NEWEST UPDATE FOR YOU1 :
We've had Darla for a week now and she has blended in with our family easily and seamlessly. She hasn't had a single accident. She has become fast friends with my lab; they do everything together including romping in the yard, wrestling, and playing tug of war with each other. She's super smart: she learned that my dogs sit to get a treat by the second day, and I have only had to tell her 'no' to shoe-chewing twice... both times she immediately dropped the shoe and scoured the house for a dog-toy. She walks nicely on a leash and my son who runs cross-country says she also jogs well on the leash, so she'd be a good workout partner. She's a quintessential lab; she's happy absolutely all the time, loves everyone, doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body, and plays hard followed by sleeping hard. She's very eager to please, smart, and food-driven so she'll be easy to train. We think she'd be a perfect family dog because she's so loving but never jumpy or rough with kids. She'd be happy to be a second (or third!) dog because she loves to play. We adore this dog!
