All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

He loves to play keep away with his toys- which should work our great with Misty to help her work off a few pounds! Loves going for walks and loves to be outside, but will come immediately when called, of course he is always on a leash or lead. He does like to stick close to you and always keeps an eye on you.
Loves people - the first walk we took we visited the neighbors and they got along great. After he greeted them and sniffed around a bit he just decided to lay down and wait till we got done talking. He seems to be a very well socialized dog. He loves my 3 yr old grandson and follows him around.
The only problem so far has been grabbing the leash when putting it on and taking it off - but with a stern no he lets go immediately, just to grab it again, so we have been working on that. Some times are better than others depending on how much energy he has! He knows as soon as I put my shoes on we're getting ready to go out and he starts getting excited!
But when it's time to rest he's just as well adjusted to that too. Will lay close by - sometimes he will go into his crate but will usually lay on the rug - so those beds might come in handy!
It would be great to see Keifer go to his forever home quickly since he seems to bond so quickly to people. Can't say enough good things about this dog - he's cute, attentive, seems to learn quickly and aims to please.Other Pictures of Keifer Yorkie (click to see larger version):
