Bowser needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Starving, stumbling, and in great pain, poor sweet little Bowser finally fell to the ground and no longer could get up. Sticks and leaves fell on him.  Eventually, he became unconscious and was dying there, all alone, abandoned. Some loggers came along through the woods, coming home at the end of the day, and found his small body. But look, he was still breathing. Barely, but his chest was movnig. Gently, they carried him to their vehicle and took him to animal control. He was raced to a vet, who discovered he was severely dehydrated, and began pumping fluids into his body in a race to save him. Soon it was found out that he had not been able to find food or water because of an ear infection that had rendered him deaf. How long he had been suffering, no one knows, but his will to live was strong and he fought back to life. Now he has food, water, a soft place to rest, a tiny sweater to keep him warm, and kind human hands, but what he wants most is a home of his own, where he will never be abandoned again. If you have a heart to open to this little guy, fill out an application and come feel his warm body snuggle against you, He will know in HIS heart that you are, truly, his angel.

From his temp foster:
Bowser is the coolest little dude. Loves my pups, loves us, loves a nice cozy bed next to a roaring fire. He's not letting his rough past get him down!

.   I am sure he would be able to navigate a few steps, just not a long flight.    In fairness to little Bowser, a home with limited steps would be preferable.   He is definitely not an invalid and he will trot around the yard.   I think his sight is okay, it is his hearing that is basically poor.   He is housebroken (of course if he does have to go before being let out he will use a puppy pad and is very neat about it).   He has a very hearty appetite.  He will stay outside and walk around and check things out for as long as you are out there with him.  If he is out there without me, he wants to come back in right after going to the bathroom.    He gets along with other dogs.
He is a real gentleman, and will always make you smile.   A dog like this has earned a good home through his determination to not let the past affect his spirit.
