All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Fancy came from a place where nobody cared for her so love and attention are new to her. She's so grateful for just a pet, brush, food and kind words. I think she will do best with a gentle and social dog already establised in a home. Due to her tentativeness, we will not place her in a home with young children, as they could easily scare her.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She already guards the house (and me) from who she thinks are strangers.  One of her favorite entertainments ismoving the sofa cushions around. She doesn't hurt them, just likes to rearrange them for me! She sleeps between my head and the headboard of the bed every night and joins me for every nap.  Right by my side all the time.  Is beginning to play with the other dogs.She is going to make somebody a great companion. She is cautious around strangers but is willing to make friends and let everybody pet her.  She lets visitors into the house with a minimum of barking and then goes over for petting and kissing. It is wonderful what love can do for a dog who has had so little of it so far in her life. 

.  Physically, she is just lovely.  Her fur has grown in thick and soft and pure white, she has dark brown eyes and a heart shaped nose. She has grown to be very affectionate. She prefers women, although she takes some time to get accustomed to new men, she is very friendly with the men she knows.  She takes guarding the house very seriously and is on watch for intruders.  She is pretty low key in the house.  She likes to sit on the sofa next to med, she sleeps on my bed or on the floor next to my bed.  She has not destroyed anything in the house, though she does like to dig a hole or two in the yard.  Fancy plays well with other dogs and has never shown any aggressive behavior.  She is very tolerant  during baths and ear cleanings. She needs work on leash walking, but I have been using a sporn harness and it is quite helpful.  She's mostly reliable with her house breaking skills, but I do crate her when I will be gone more than a few hours.  She is a woman's dog, and is devoted to me, never far from me.  She has learned to smile showing all her teeth, and it is comical.
