Login to Remember your Favorite Animals and Breeds! |
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Chrissy | |
|
|
Chrissy is a young and fun girl. She enjoys playing fetch, going on walks, and playing with other dogs. She is very active and would do best in a home with active adults and another well adjusted dog. Chrissy likes to play a lot but she also enjoys cuddling on the couch with her person or another dog and a blanket. She is obedient for her age and has quickly learned the command "down." She also comes when she is called. We are currently working on "sit" and I don't think it will take long for her to master that. Chrissy is 26 lbs, tall (17 inches at the shoulder), and thin. She would be a good jogging partner, good at agility, or just fun to romp around with in the yard. Chrissy should never be left alone outside even in a fenced yard because if she gets lonely she has been known to climb a chain link fence and jump a wood fence in search of her person.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She is great with cats and kids. She is very gentle. I don't think she would be a good match for a senior. I think she should be with someone with kids or that is home during the day and walk her if possible. I think multiple walks throughout the day works For her and maybe a trip to the dog park instead of a fence. I dont think a wood privacy fence will keep her in. i think that if she wants to get out she will find a way to escape. She does not want to run away now but wants to stay very close to my house. She has been very social with lots of people, dogs and cats. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in my bedroom or under the bed with my other dog throughout the night. She is housebroken. She is a great dog.
