Deanna needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Deanna | |
|
|
Just out of puppyhood herself, she found herself abandoned with several other dogs and ready to have puppies. She had to give birth in a noisy, scary shelter. Deanna was a great mom to her puppies and now they have all been adopted. Now it's time for Deanna to focus on finding a new family for herself. She craves attention and wants to please, and is still working on brushing up her skills. She is sometimes a bit over zealous when she is excited and jumps up for attention. She is learning about not putting paws on the counter and table. Deanna does not seem to know what to do with toys or balls. She crates and responds well to her name. She loves belly rubs. She is very food motivated. She can jump a fence, so she will need a high and secure fence in her new home.
Deanna would do well with a canine buddy to show her good behaviors and encourage her to play but could also be an only dog. A home with older children or adults only would be a good fit due to Deanna's quick movement. Deanna does seem a bit too interested in cats, so a home without them is necessary. Deanna rides well in the car and would be more than happy to travel with her new family. More good news...She is already housebroken.
