All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A sweet and gentle dog, Abilene was simply abandoned by her "family" because they didn't want a dog any more. Abby, as we call her, wants to know what she did wrong. We would love for her to understand she is a good girl, and sometimes people are not so nice. We want her to know that there is a family out there who will cherish her for herself. A perfect, medium sized dog at only 40 lbs., she will fit in nearly anywhere. She is good with other dogs and tries every so hard to be the best friend she can be. We believe she is a smooth collie mix. She would think she was in heaven if you played with her in your backyard, took her for walks, or even just patted her on the head and said the magic words..." We love you Abby, and you  are ours forever and ever. " She is waiting patiently for you to come for her.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She passed her cat test with flying colors.  She sniffed them, wagged her tail, and then proceeded to ignore them.
