Yuna needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Yuna's foster says it the best, so we will let her tell you about this little lady:

Yuna is a young adult dog, on the small side of medium, and a major love bug. She’s friendly with other dogs and has been calm and relaxed with every kid she has met. She does chase cats, so would need a home without a feline sibling. She is a happy, sweet dog who loves going on walks and spending time with her humans. Her eyes light up when the leash comes out and she’ll sit in eager anticipation, while you get ready. But her greatest joy is cuddling. She’s the kind of dog who gets excited when her person walks into the house. Her favorite place is next to you on the sofa or (if that isn’t an option) lying at your feet. If she feels you looking at her, her tail starts wagging. And when you pet her, she’ll often do funny little snorting sounds to show how much she enjoys it.

Yuna has a heart murmur that has been checked out by a canine cardiologist. Her condition is called congenital valvular pulmonic stenosis. It seems that she was born with it and it doesn’t cause her any problems. She is living a normal life just no vigrous exercise and doesn't require medication. The cardiologist would like to check her again in a year unless she shows any symptoms.

She is working on house training, sits for her treats, and is eager to please. She’s great in the car, walks well on the leash, and if she’s taken places she’ll calmly hang out next to you until you decide to move on. She would do best in a quiet home with somebody who is there most of the time, she s still experiencing some separation anxiety. She is a major love bug and wants nothing more than to be near her people. She can be left alone but shouldn’t be put into a crate as she gets frantic if she’s confined for too long.

Yuna loves to have her ears rubbed and will put her head under your hand if you stop to let you know stopping isn't an option." Hugging her is like snuggling up to the softest afghan you can find. A really great dog with so much potential to be the best dog you have ever had! Her heart is already in the right place...all you need to do is to let her know what you want her to do to be perfect. She will try her hardest! She has been completely vetted for you and has had all her shots. She is ready to go! She’s a great companion, ready for her forever home!
A VERY SPECIAL UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER; YUNA IS NOW HOUSETRAINED! YAY!
