All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Petra is a wondrous dog of many talents. She is a tall, big boned, sturdy girl, with a great natural temperament. She plays well with other dogs, adores cats (she sleeps with one), and loves to be brushed. A friendly dog, she was raised with children and does well with them. Already obedience trained, she has a huge desire to please and will look at you intently, trying her best to determine what you want her to do, so she can do it. Your praise is her greatest reward. She has the legendary loyal German shepherd heart and will love you like no other for all of her life. Petra has plenty of experience being a family dog, so she is all ready to be YOUR family dog and best friend. Petra delivers on the words "good dog!"
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: Petra is quite the lapdog. She is a wonderful and majestic dog. She loves small children and washes and plays with the cats and other dogs. She knows sit, shake, lay down and stay (mostly) She likes to play ball and squeaky toys. She will need a fenced yard as she also likes to chase squirrels and run to ponds to swim! She is a joy to have and she is completely housebroken too!!
