Bentley Shepherd needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

What do we know about Bentley?  We know his mom was a German shepherd and his dad, well, he was a traveling surprise. Somebody with a bit longer hair and a really spectacular tail, for sure, because Bentley has a plume of a tail that wags a lot, as he is a happy dog. Our best guess is German shepherd/Leonberger/Malamute. He is picky sometmes about his canine friends. He has lots of energy and would love to live on a farm or perhaps somewhere with a big backyard and a family that liked long walks. Entering just the prime of his life at only 4 years old, or possibly less, he is hoping for an active family who will enjoy playing with him outdoors. People who like camping, jogging, hiking would be a real plus for him. Sadly, he lost his family when they moved to a place that doesn't allow dogs. He has always been treated with love and knows how to give it back and then some. He will be a loving, fun, loyal dog for you. Say the words "You're a good boy" and that tail will fan out and wag!
Note:  He is dog selective and it is important that it be understood that he likes some dogs and not others.
