Dakota needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Dakota is a sweetheart. If you like hounds, she is just what you have been dreaming about for your next dog. She loves exploring the great outdoors with her person, too, her nose sniff, sniff sniffing all the wonderful scents her hound senses can pick up. Dakota is easy to love and will give you back her whole heart once she knows she is there for keeps. Being a hound, she can find a jellybean in a five acre plot, and when she lopes around, enjoying herself in your backyard, her ears will flap up and down like propellers. Makes us giggle to watch her! Taking Dakota to be your own will be bringing in smiles and happiness to your life.

She would do best in an active home to take her walks and hikes but yet when at home more on the quiet side to relax and love her family.

Dakota is an absolute flight risk being a hound so she must have at least a 4-5 ft. fenced yard and even though she is great with children we are recommending no children under 12 since she can easily get out a door.
