Laddie is a young dog who has not yet even had his first birthday. He is very full of life and energy and would be perfect for an active person or family. He would love to go hiking, camping, jogging, play in the backyard for hours. He is also a super friendly dog. Great with both other dogs and cats, he also adores humans. His tail wags wildly whenever he greets people. Outgoing and happy, he is going to make you a wonderful companion.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: "Laddie has lots of energy. He is a Sweetheart to people and other dogs. This very friendly boy is always willing to get some loving and his tail never stops wagging. Days with Laddie often start when he pokes his nose into the bed to see if you’re awake. In typical puppy manner that usually happens earlier than you want it to. And you CAN tell him, “not yet”. He’ll sink back down and patiently goes back to sleep. But it’s hard to resist his eagerness to start a new day. Laddie is happy when he gets to go on a walk, he’s happy when it’s time for food, he’s happy to hang out with you. He likes to rest with his head on your foot. When he gets excited he “talks”. It’s a mix between a bark, a whine, and a howl, and quite funny. He might do it while you leash him up or dish food into his bowl. He is housetrained. He’s still a puppy and loves to play and do zoomies in the yard. But even at only 10 months old he’s medium energy and you can tell what a chill dude he will soon become. He doesn’t mind hanging out in his crate, especially if there’s peanut butter in a kong involved. He seems to like all people and dogs (according to the shelter he’s good with cats, too). He has a booming bark but has only used it get other dogs to play. He might growl a bit then, too, and it might sound ferocious but it’s all just noise, no aggression. If my other dogs signal that they’re fed up with his pestering he backs off immediately. He does “sit” so eagerly that you can often hear his little butt hit the floor. He still does some mouthing but is learning fast that he shouldn’t. He might need a bit of patience to overcome his one bad habit: He walks nicely on a leash but if he spots a squirrel, he’ll try to chase it. But walking him with a harness has already made a huge difference. He’s a great running buddy, in fact he really seems to enjoy it!
If you are ready to bring fun and laughter into your life, check out Laddie. He won't disappoint! He just might turn out to be the best dog you have ever had.
