Dara needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Dara is going to be a great little dog for you, and we really do mean "little". At only 30 lbs., she is definitely on the small side, even though she looks larger in our picture. Check out the picture below with her standing next to a person. You will see what we mean. A very young dog, too, with her whole life ahead of her to love you with all her heart. We asked her foster mom to tell you about her and this is what she said..."She is a calm girl who gets along well with other dogs who are not high energy. She has been kenneled with two slightly larger male dogs and has been fine with them. She is House trained and crate trained. Since she has been worried about having any food for so long, she is protective of her food when she gets it. I always feed her in her create because she eats fast then wants to go finish the food of her kennel mates while they are still eating it." Once she realizes food is going to appear regularly in her bowl, we think this idea of hers to "get all she can while she can" will fade away. She is very smart and wants to please, so teaching her what you want her to do should be fun and easy. She is light on her feet and entertaining to watch play in the yard. She will be a wonderful walking/jogging partner.
