Bentley needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

This purebred little gentleman descends from a long line of royal dogs. His ancestors were given as royal gifts between emperors and Shoguns. It is incredibly rare to see a Chin in rescue, as they are usually considered treasured companion dogs. This one has been caught in a divorce, thus giving you an opportunity to have and to hold a royal gift dog. In temperament, Chins tend to be more catlike than doglike in their actions and have easy temperaments. They aren't uppity about their exalted position in the world. Bentley is good with other dogs and seems to have the characteristics of his breed. Although small, he is a sturdy dog and in the prime of his life. He will come to you totally vetted, with all his shots and even already neutered. Your job will be to bow low in front of him and then to take him into your heart. He would like to trot into your life, his great plume of a tail swaying in the breeze, acknowledging all who pass him on your walks as his subjects. For you, he will reserve his whole heart, as his kind have done for many hundreds of years.
