Harley is young and still searching for someone to love him. As a puppy, he found himself shoved outside without shelter and the only reliable person he could depend on was the animal cruelty officer coming around to issue yet another citation to his jailers for lack of care. It's especially heartbreaking in Harley's case, as he has such a naturally sweet and loving personality. The staff, where he was eventually taken for his own safety, said he was a "little sweetheart". He opens those big, brown eyes of his as wide as he can, looking into each face that comes by him, asking, "Are you the one who will love me?" He is now safe in rescue, and has a roof over his head, food, and people to care for his needs...a huge improvement for him. But, what he hopes for every day is his own family, where he can give his whole heart for all of his life. He's that kind of dog. Loyalty and love are the words we would use to describe Harley. Not even 25 lbs., he is really a small dog with a big heart. And this little guy is patiently waiting for you.  Harley is super high energy and loves chasing the ball, even plays soccer with it by himself. A one dog soccer team!  He will need someone to be patient with him as he learns how to get attention without mouthing playfully. It's his way of saying "Hey, I'm here, I want to play." In no time at all he is going to be your best boy.
