All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

If you are looking for the classic “full dog” experience, then Benny is the dog for you!  From the way he looks to the way he acts, Benny embodies just what people are thinking of when they say “I want a dog!”. He is bright, energetic and loving. In fact, he really seems to think he’s a small lap dog!  He’s very affectionate and loves to be next to - or on top of! - one of his people. He’ll sit with you and even sleep with you if you want but he is also fine by himself. He is fully crate-trained and extremely well-house broken.  

Benny responds well to training and enjoys positive rewards. He loves to play fetch and always bring back the ball or stick or toy. He also loves to play tug-of-war. 

Benny is great with cats and kids! Foster has 4 cats and he interacts with ones who want to and doesn’t bother the ones who dont. Our 18 month old grandson has been spending a lot time with us and Benny is great with him, no matter how many times his tail is pulled or sticky fingers grab him.  Benny is also good with other dogs, whether as a “roommate” or just at the dog park. He is up to date on all his shots and is in great health.
