Freckles is a sweet and friendly dog. She always wants to hear you say "Good girl!" She was found abandoned, hungry, and in need of a safe place. We didn't know then, but Freckles was hiding a secret! She was rescued, given food, and that safe place she was looking for, and then the staff went home for the night. In the morning, when the people came back in, there were puppies all snuggled up to our Freckles! Such a good and brave mama! She delivered them all alone and gave everyone a big surprise. Now she is in a foster home, where she and the puppies will be safer, and is showing us what a good mama she is by taking great care of her little family. By the end of June, her babies will be ready to go and our girl will be looking for her own forever home. She is still quite young at only around a year and a half old, and we will make sure this smart beauty gets all her shots and a good vet check up before she starts out on her next adventure to her forever home. In the meantime, she is showing us how much love she has to give and what a wonderful spirit she has.
