All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

So sweet, so soft, with only one wish in the world...to be loved and cuddled, Bichon Buddy has waited all his life for a person to whom he can give his heart and little body. He hasn't given up. He is still hoping, after a lifetime of neglect. A safe, quiet, loving environment is what we are seeking for this small boy. Sadly, it's something he has never had. He's grown older, still imagining what it would be like to be cared for. He's started to get the creaks and problems that come to an aging dog, but still, he waits. Would you like to give this deserving boy this gift in his last years? Will you be his angel?

Note from Buddy's foster:  Buddy would love a home with another dog.  He really needs a canine friend. . He cannot go to a home with young children because he is somewhat hard of hearing and when startled, will sometimes nip in self defense because he hasn't heard a person coming.  Cheerful little guy with boost of energy but runs out fast and needs a nap. He would still follow, as he wants very much to be with you, so need people that would be considerate and not go on hiking for hours, getting him totally exhausted. He doesnt have vet prescribed food but he is in early stages of kidney failure, so adding extra water in wet food can be a good idea. A fenced yard would be better if the person is not planning on taking a walk and would go outside with him. He adores my cats and cries to see the neighborhood dogs, a home with another friendly dog would be a plus.
He is not potty trained, and wears belly bands to solve that problem. He is NOT neutered and due to his age and health, he will need to be accessed and may or may not be eligible to be neutered.
While his body may be beginning to fail him, his heart and his love is going strong!
