All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Dozier is a very happy and playful boy.  He can be a little shy at first, mostly because his brother seems to be the leader, but he warms right up.  He loves to snuggle and be held.  He likes to play tug of war, fetch and chase.  He also loves to sit on the couch, cuddled up on a blanket and watch movies.  He is a true lap dog just like his brother Dobie.  He is good with cats, other dogs, and children.  He likes to run and explore.  He is learning to walk on a leash, sit on command and return from fetch.  He is mosty housebroken, with only one accident when he didn’t make it to the door in time.  He likes to give kisses and follow close.  He is very intelligent and loves to learn. He will do well in a home with cats, dogs, children…pretty much anyone/thing.  He is a love bug and needs to have lots of attention. 

Update from his foster:  Dozier will need a home with another dog.  A yard with a physical fence is required.  Also, no young children under the age of 9 years.
