Bunny needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Bunny | |
|
Some dogs see with their hearts instead of their eyes. Bunny would be one of those dogs. With eyes that work not so well, she has learned to read her surroundings with other senses, too. Bunny is very communicative and intelligent and will "see" you in an almost magical way. Wait until you feel her touch your heart with hers. Even though she is nearly blind, you would never know it. She looks at your face and your eyes as though she sees you. She does not bump into walls, objects, other dogs, or humans. After a one-time scan of the interior of a house or outside yard, she knows the perimeters and location of things in the house. When she is walking outside, she is confident and is not hesitant to lead the way.
More good news! She is a friendly, happy dog, and very social. She loves everyone she meets, dogs, cats, people. Bunny loves the whole world. She really likes companionship with people. As long as she knows you are with her, and listening to her, she can be content. At doggie daycare she is the star of the show!
The sun is her special friend and she loves to feel it's warmth touching her beautiful shiney black coat.
More experiences she loves? She has taught everyone around her to savor the little things in life. The warmth of a beautiful day, car rides. Oh my, how she love to feel the hum of the car taking her to new places and adventures.
Did we mention that she is nicely house trained? A BIG plus in our book! And if you want a snuggle buddy, may we present Bunny! Being cuddled up near you is as close to heaven as it gets for this sweet girl. But needy she is not! Just loving. She is happy to go off and explore her yard, so we are asking that she has a real honest to goodness physical fence in her new home, so she stays safe and happy. Since she loves to play with other dogs, if you have another dog, she will be a grand playmate. She is full of energy and a lover of life.
Her foster says "Bunny does not hear either so you cannot call her by name or tell her “no”, “sit”, or “stop barking”. Yet, she will bark to let you know when you should get up in the morning, when she wants to go outside or when it is time for her dinner. Her ability to communicate is amazing. Bunny is super affectionate and when she is in her loving moments she waggles away and rubs against your legs and is so happy – then she goes to my husband and then back to me. It makes us smile every time to see how happy she is. This especially happens in the morning. I have games the dogs play, and Bunny is the best of all my dogs. She rolls the treat container all over the house, while my dogs just watch her."
This sweet, sweet girl is special in so many ways. To be touched by Bunny is to know what it is like to have a living, breathing angel right there next to you.
