All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sweet, loving, innocent Laura has been let down by humans so many times in her young life. Abandoned to die without food or water in a vacant house, she awaited her end. Fortunately, someone heard her crying and she was found by animal control and brought out into a world where there was food, safety, and, from Laura's point of view, the best thing, humans. Amazingly, considering how she has been treated, Laura adores people. She just wants to be with them. Even when starving, she would choose petting over food. Her foster says "She thrives on attention. She loves to have her belly rubbed." Animal Control, who originally saved her noted heartbreakingly, "She lived with other dogs at the vacated property and has been friendly with the other dogs at the shelter. She also passed her cat test. She hid her head in the animal control officer’s lap during the cat test. She just wants for a human to keep her safe. In addition, she appears to be housetrained. " Laura is one of those dogs born to be a best friend and family dog. She tries so hard to do everything right! We think she might just turn out to be the best dog you have ever had.
