Young and happy, Wayne doesn't even realize how close he came to getting his life cut short. When his people lost their home and decided to get rid of their dog, it was thought a good idea just to shoot him. A friend, who liked the nice dog, quickly grabbed him up and saved his life. After such a near escape, we are hoping to find Wayne a great home where every day will be filled with play and tail wags. The shelter where he was taken to keep him safe says of him "Wayne is a friendly boy who prefers women but will quickly warm up to men.  He previously lived with another dog and he was introduced to other dogs at the shelter and was fine with them.  He didn’t really care about a kitten when introduced to one in the shelter." But another visit with different cats didn't go well. Gifted with a good, easy going beagle personality, this loveable boy is hoping for a similarly loving family who will want to play in their fenced backyard, go for walks, and never, ever consider him expendable. You will be rewarded with smiles and laughter as long as he lives, which should be very long, indeed.  Wayne is going to need a yard with a physical fence.
