All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Update from her foster: Rosie arrived at our house absolutely out-of-her-mind terrified. I've fostered dozens of rescue dogs and have never seen a dog quite as fearful as Rosie. I saw in her paperwork that she was an owner surrender but whoever had her did not treat her well. She had clearly never been in a house or on a leash. She seemed shut down and didn't respond to pets or our other dogs. She hid in corners, was too scared to eat and seemed to lose her mind at any noise.    In just a week and a half, Rosie is a different dog.   She loves to snuggle and would like to sleep on my bed although the bed is already occupied by my little dog and the cats. (Rosie is fine with cats by the way.). Rosie is a super sweet soul. She loves to run fast big circles in the yard and she loves to sniff. She also loves going on walks. She still won't approach my two teenage sons (I think she's afraid of men more than women) but she's not hiding any more. She is good around the horses and goats. She is still unsure of herself but desperately wants to be loved and give. She will need a patient owner who can help her overcome the trauma she's clearly been through but she's already made huge progress. She may never play with other dogs, but she likes being around them and has no aggressive tendencies whatsoever. She will also be a super loyal girl. She already follows me around.  She's super cute by the way and she loves to chase the tennis ball.  A little bigger than a beagle but very midsized.
